West Masters Assessment 2026/27
This is for all players over the age of 35 during the coming season.
(There will be different dates for the men and women)
If you are already on the system from previous years you do not need to do anything!

We are mindful of England Hockey trials and EH competitions for Masters so we hope there will not be a clash, but cannot guarantee this.

County Masters Report – 2025/26
There are lots of opportunities to play masters hockey in Devon and in the wider hockey community.
Sessions run for men at Okehampton every other Thursday known to everyone as Gatfers. Trials are run at these sessions for the Devon and Cornwall teams that enter the EH competitions.
Sessions also run at Stoke Damerell – every other Monday and are open to all O35s.
Walking Hockey is running every other Monday at Stoke Damerell and are very well attended with a lot of those attending being of masters age!
Jill Dupain has started sessions for women O50s on a Friday – once a month at St James School. (6.30 – 7.30).
Congratulations to Isca MO35s on reaching the final of the EH Cup competition and to Devon and Cornwall MO65s on reaching the EH Trophy final.
Devon has lots of representation at both National and regional level. My apologies if I have missed anyone – finding squad lists isn’t easy!

As you can see Masters hockey is thriving! As a consequence, we are hoping to reinstate the County Masters tournament early in the 2026/27 season. Date to be confirmed.
